 Merdeka Special & A Wonderful Birthday !!!

Its been a wholesome 49 years of freedom that our country has attained and yesterday marked that day for anonther year...It has been really good being in Malaysia, despite the ups and downs of the country but it has made progress in its own way. Personally, I feel happy being in this country for the past 24 years of my life. I mean my dad was born during the Japanese occupation and my mum was born in the year our country got its independence, but both of them have told me about the dark history of what this nation went through on May 13, 1969...it was a big mess and loads of innocent people were killed. Despite that our country has reached to a place that differences can be put aside and everyone can live in harmony..I mean that is what all of us want right ? Well, I hope in coming years that Malaysia can sustain its mark in the world for being a place that caters to everyone's need under the same roof....

Hmmm, that is enough for now I guess, me talking all about the peace and harmony...hehe, hey at least I tried, anyway my Merdeka celebaration was really great cuz I was at the The Curve, and being with friends and counting down to Merdeka was really cool. I mean putting aside the factors of 2nd hand smoking and people cheering for the wrong reasons, it was a memorable time for me. I am yet to get the pictures from Joshua, so once I get em then I will post em. And yes, as yesterday was Merdeka Day, my church organised a Family Day trip to the riverside cum baptism service. It was a fun filled day ranging from the church members doing the Macarena till the time people starting throwing flour at each other but as usual after the baptism there were some us ended up in the river....

Now, lets look what happened last week....Let me see...Ah yeah, it was two person's birthdays and yes these two are so lovey dovey as their birthday's are just a day apart if I am not mistaken...presenting to you Ian and Susie:

Above ( Ian and Susie) , Below ( The cakes of day for them from Bakerzin)

The crowd..

Well, it was a sweet and wonderful occasion, there was the whole GLO bunch ( btw GLO is the college and young adults group that meet every weekend) there...There was this sense of excitement filled around the air as the food arrive cuz we were eating crabs and just small ones but really big and juicy ones with a wonderful butter sauce to go with and yes the steamed bun..Yea, as you can see the cake as shown in the picture has unique names such as Desire, Dark Heart and Caramel something...it was really weird of names food items get nowadays. After the whole dinner party we all made our way to the nearest mamak stall and yes enjoyed a good ole cuppa of teh tarik which makes it complete after having any meal be it Chinese, Indian or even Malay...Wow, the coolness of being in Malaysia...

Make a wish you two....

As you all can see all the pictures from the party was shot by Joshua, there are more but I am only uploading a few ere...His really good at taking good pics..Well ere some and hope you all like it yeah...

Outside the restaurant after the party...the Whole bunch(Some hiding I guess)
